Chia
California, southwest U.S. Chia is a great annual for open ground. Round heads of bright blue flowers on very straight stems. Plants can bloom at 4" or 2', depending on cultural conditions.
A little annual sage that doesn't look like a sage. Not much scent but nice 1 inch flowers on a 1-2 foot plant. Native on the south slopes in rock or gravel. It grows commonly on disturbed soil.
Tolerates full sun,and sand. Foliage color is Gray , and type is NA. Flower color is Blue. Fruit is edible.
