Green maturing to lavender and then to red bell pepper. Islander's strong, medium-tall plants have a good set of three-lobed, medium-size, thick fleshed lavender peppers with a mild, lightly sweet taste. Fruits ripen through a showy stage of violet, yellow, an orange streaks, eventually turning a rich very dark red.
