Cyprus oregano
An aromatic perennial sub-shrub with wide, smooth, gland-dotted leaves often purplish in colour. Flowers purple or pinkish appearing between June and August.
This is a rare endemic plant of Cyprus, growing in moist rocky gorges by mountain streams on igneous rocks between 1,500 ft and 3,000 ft. uses: culinary and medicinal (gyógy- és fûszernövény)
